CLA250 4MATIC

Fancy much about the CLA45, this actually could be another option that can be as satisfying as the big brother baby AMG 45 with a lower budget of Rm278.888, Rm130000 cheaper than CLA45

Of course CLA45 is the most powerful and top end model of CLA series with it's heart, "M113 DE20 AL" twin scroll turbo hand built by AMG making it the most powerful 2.0litter transverse engine in the world, producing 190.5hp per litter, the company that built it says it all But with a enormous gap in pricing, CLA250 do make a good choice too, apart from all those high end speedshift gearbox, amg sport suspension, high performance braking system in the 45, you do get the same 4 matic system, the almost similar AMG body kit as the 45 does, red trimming line at both rear and front bumper, red trim interior and red seatbelt which boost up the essence of

AMG. Being in the back seat of this car is unsurprisingly tight with its sloppy rear view window that limits the rear passenger head clearance, I am 172cm and my head is near touching the rear head panel, sloppy design of back window is called the "fastback coupe" kinda design developed to earn more aerodynamic. My own opinion : Despite all the tightness and cramp spaces in this car, this is still one of the most beautiful sleekest coolest design car I have ever seen from Mercedes Benz other than the CLS350 that launched many years back then. Back in year 2014 when I first saw this car in Malaysia, it made me feel that Mercedes Benz had step out of their comfort zone to transform their car from boxy boring old men car into the sleek modern fast back coupe sport sedan with frameless window, I never ever seen it as a comfortable 4 door sedan, I prefer calling it more to a sports car that has the advantage of bringing more passenger with a large trunk to me. Being this sleek and beautiful, it actually managed to achieve the drag coefficient of 0.23 which you will experience very low wind noise in high speed as stated. Lastly, one of the most noticible element of the CLA to me is the POPS and CRACKLES by the performance exhaust in the CLA45 paired with the speedshif AMG dual clutch transmission, but you can actually get some more gentle sound of pops and crackles too compared to the '45' in this CLA250 with its dct if you mod the exhaust into performance exhaust So that's it about my simplified review of entry level Mercedes Benz CLA, W117 series, the car of performance and styling.
